ASB3077 GIVING DAY23 HI 327

Together, as part of The Hospital Research Foundation Group, we raised $520,517 to improve healthcare and patient services in our community.

On Thursday 1 June, our community came together over 12 hours to raise essential funds to save and change lives in Australia!

Throughout Giving Day, our staff, volunteers and ambassadors joined in on the fun at our Woodville office by jumping on the phones to call on their friends, family, colleagues and our community to join the fight against disease and illness, including breast cancer.

Thanks to a generous group of supporters, we were able to double every donation!

Together, we raised over $520,000 with a portion of funds going towards fighting heart disease!

As part of the Group, Australian Heart Research joined Giving Day to raise crucial funds to bring new heart imaging technology to human trials.

Dr Jiawen Li from the University of Adelaide and her collaborators are using innovative 3D printing technology to build a micro-catheter to enable the high-quality imaging of narrow arteries.

With the generous donations of our community from Giving Day, we can help this hard-working team take the device to human clinical trials, further developing this lifesaving tool and introduce it to standard care and save lives from heart disease.

Donations this Giving Day will also improve care for Atrial Fibrillation patients through the iCARE-AF clinic!

The ‘i’ stands for ‘integrated care’ and uses a patient-centred approach to educate and empower people with AF and support them in self-managing their care. Thanks to the support of our community on Giving Day, we can ensure more people access this valuable service at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Thanks to your support and those of our gift-matchers, we can continue to support lifesaving research and patient care after we smashed our target of $450,000 and raised 115% of our goal, receiving 1836 donations.

“Thank you to all of our supporters, volunteers and businesses that partnered with us. It’s been a magnificent day and we are making a brilliant impact on the health and wellbeing of our community,” CEO Paul Flynn said on the day.

It’s incredible what we can achieve when we work together! Thank you for your support on Giving Day.
