Four ways you can add a gift in your Will
Percentage
You can leave a percentage of your estate to the disease area of your choice through your Will. The final amount of the gift will depend on the total value of your estate.
Residual
Another option is to leave a residual gift in your Will, which means donating a percentage of what is left after your loved ones and any other beneficiaries have received their gifts. This way, you can ensure that your legacy will benefit a cause that is important to you.
Amount
If you prefer, you can specify a fixed amount of money to donate to a charity in your Will. This guarantees that we will receive the exact amount you wish to give.
Assets
Aside from cash, you can also leave a gift in the form of assets, such as stocks, real estate, or personal property. This can provide tax benefits for your estate while also supporting a cause you care about.

Thank you for choosing to leave a gift in your Will towards Australian Heart Research. If you already have a Will you can simply use the following words:
‘I give (insert gift detail – the residual, a percentage of the estate or a nominated gift of property, money or item of value) to Australian Heart Research, of 62 Woodville Road, Woodville, South Australia 5011 and I declare that the receipt of the Public Officer, Chief Financial Officer or the Chief Executive Officer for the time being shall be sufficient discharge to my Trustee/s for the payment of such benefit.’
